Our Promise

Buying pre-owned luxury shouldn't take a leap of faith.

Counterfeits get better every year. That's exactly why every piece here is inspected by hand before it's listed — by someone who has spent twenty years learning what real feels like.

Meet Your Authenticator

Shelley has handled thousands of these.

Twenty years of buying, selling, and authenticating Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Rolex — first for collectors, now for you. She knows the weight of real hardware in her hand, the way honest leather wears, and what a true hallmark looks like under a loupe.

Every single piece on this site crossed her desk in our Alhambra showroom. Not a sample. Not a batch. Every piece.

How Every Piece Earns Its Place

Five Points. No Exceptions.

  1. 01

    Construction

Every house builds a particular way. Chanel's diamond quilting aligns across seams; Hermès saddle-stitches by hand; a Cartier link articulates just so. Stitch density on a bag, settings on a brooch, hand-rolled hems on a scarf — counterfeits rarely get the rhythm right.

  2. 02

    Hardware & Metals

Weight, plating, and engravings. Real hardware is heavy, machined, and stamped with crisp, even depth — from a bag's lock to a bracelet's clasp. Gold and silver are checked for hallmarks and honest weight.

  3. 03

    Date Codes & Serials

Checked against the production era — date codes on bags, serial and model numbers on watches, hallmarks and maker's marks on jewelry. A code that doesn't match the piece is an immediate fail, and where codes exist, we publish them on the listing.

  4. 04

    Materials

Leather grain, silk weave, glazing — and smell, yes, smell. Stones, enamel, and dials get the loupe. Lambskin, caviar, and vachetta each age in ways that are very hard to fake convincingly.

  5. 05

    Provenance

Where the piece came from. Receipts, original cards, and consignor history all get reviewed. Most of our pieces come from local closets we've known for years.

Real, or Every Dollar Back.

If anything we sell is ever proven not genuine, we refund every dollar. No time limit. No fine print. That's the whole policy.

Questions

Authenticity FAQ

How is each piece authenticated?

Every item is inspected by hand in our Alhambra showroom before it is ever listed — a five-point inspection covering stitching, hardware, date codes and serials, materials, and provenance. Nothing goes on the site until it passes.

What happens if an item is proven not genuine?

We refund every dollar, with no time limit. That guarantee has no fine print: if any piece we sold is ever shown to be counterfeit, you get a full refund — whether it's been a week or a decade.

Do items come with authenticity cards or receipts?

When a piece arrives with its original cards, receipts, dust bag, or box, everything is listed on the product page under Accessories and included with your order. Where a brand uses date codes or serial numbers, we publish them on the listing.

Can I see a piece in person before buying?

Yes — every piece on the site lives in our Alhambra showroom. Walk-ins are welcome, and Shelley is happy to walk you through exactly what she looks for on any piece in the collection.
